Emergency Plans

The importance of an effective workplace safety and health program cannot be overstated. Unfortunately, workplace accidents and illnesses still occur despite efforts to prevent them, and proper planning is necessary to respond effectively to emergencies.

This course provides a non-exhaustive overview of current emergency regulations, as well as methods for reporting fires and other emergencies.

• Emergency procedures and escape route assignments.
• Procedures to be followed by employees remaining in critical plant operations before evacuating.
• Procedures for accounting for all employees after an emergency evacuation has been completed.
• Rescue and medical duties for those employees who are required to perform them, along with names or job titles of individuals who can be contacted for more information or an explanation of the plan’s duties.
