Certified Confined Space Program Course
Many workplaces contain areas considered “confined spaces,” as their configuration makes it difficult for employees to enter, work in, or exit them.
In many cases, employees working in confined spaces also face an increased risk of serious physical injury from hazards such as entrapment, engulfment, hazardous atmospheres, and more. If they are not able to properly assess hazards and control risks, these conditions can result in severe injuries or even fatalities.

Course Content
The objective of this course is for participants to be able to:
- Recognize, evaluate, and control confined space hazards
- Save lives and protect employees from work-related injuries and illnesses
- Promote safe and effective work practices
- Reduce avoidable workers’ compensation costs
- Comply with company procedures and practices
- Be capable of using confined space entry and rescue equipment
This course has been developed to explain the basic requirements outlined in OSHA General Industry Standard 29 CFR 1910.146 – Permit-Required Confined Spaces, helping employers and workers establish and maintain an effective confined space program.
